In our modern-day, there are a few new items that we must add beyond our survival mode needs such as shelter, food, and water. Just to function and join society we need more than just the basics to survive. Such as access to feminine hygiene products. You shouldn't have to choose between food or tampons. Hope House Women's Shelter donated their discard tampon boxes to me so I could create with them. I focused on items of necessity. Both the survival mode needs, as well as modern needs beyond tampons. Thanks to Artist Trust, I was given the confidence boost, platform, and monetary support to create this body of work.
