Pink & Yellow

Pink and Yellow is a collection of a visual art anthology on my Biracial and gender identity and experiences. The works reflect on my experiences, a critique on stereotypes, and remarks upon historical narratives and as an educational display for viewers to partake in. The limited color palette lends to the restrictive nature on the topic of Gender and Race. Humans want to oversimplify each other into a set of expectations based on physical traits and appearance, however, the individual human experience is rich and diverse and contains a multitude of unique and layered stories and deeper conversations that I want this series to convey.
